After receiving an undergraduate degree from the State University of NY at Binghamton, where he graduated with honors. Dr. Morton obtained his MD from the State University of NY Health Science Center at Syracuse. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Morton is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and has been recognized in New Jersey Monthly’s Top Doctors.

Dr. Morton’s areas of special interest include inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal endoscopy including wireless capsule endoscopy, Bravo probe for pH monitoring, BARRX radiofrequency ablation of Barrett’s esophagus and liver/biliary diseases. He is a frequent presenter on a wide range of topics including colon cancer prevention, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Morton maintains a practice at Affiliates in Gastroenterology in Morristown and is an attending physician at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Morton is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He’s a member of numerous national societies in Gastroenterology. Dr. Morton enjoys participating and watching sports and spending time with his wife and two sons.
