Dr. Pineles earned his medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Medical Center, and subsequently received his gastroenterology training at NYU Medical Center as well.
Dr. Pineles’ clinical focus includes general gastroenterology with additional attention toward esophageal dysmotility, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), GERD, and colorectal cancer screening. He has significant experience in upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, video capsule endoscopy, high resolution esophageal manometry, and Bravo pH capsule deployment/interpretation.
Dr. Pineles has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals on a broad range of gastroenterology and hepatology related topics.
He sees patients in the West Orange office and has hospital affiliations with Saint Barnabas and Morristown Medical Centers.
In his spare time, Dr. Pineles enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
